The Word Defined

EMPT·I·STORY

EMPT — from "emptiness", the spiritual void that comes from loss, struggle, or seasons without God's fullness. I — "I", the woman herself — her identity, her journey, her divine calling. STORY — the testimony, the narrative of transformation, the shared story that brings healing and strength.

Inspired by Ruth 1:20–21 — "Call me Mara, because the Almighty has made my life very bitter…"

What Is EMPTISTORY?

Turning Emptiness into a Story of God's Power

EMPTISTORY is both a concept and a practice — the spiritual foundation upon which Ruth Sisters Fellowship International is built. It is the conviction that every woman's story of emptiness, if surrendered to God, becomes a testimony of His faithfulness, restoration, and purpose. Just as Naomi returned from Moab empty and was filled again through God's provision and Ruth's loyalty, every sister in our fellowship is on her own EMPTISTORY journey.

Our weekly EMPTISTORY sessions bring sisters together to share, pray, teach, and strengthen one another. Through transparent storytelling and biblical teaching, women discover that they are not alone in their emptiness — and that God's love through sisterhood is itself a form of fullness.

The Six Pillars

How EMPTISTORY Works

Six core pillars guide every sister's EMPTISTORY journey — from acknowledging emptiness to returning to her royal identity in Christ.

1. Acknowledging Emptiness

We create a safe, sacred space for women to name their spiritual emptiness honestly — the first step toward healing and transformation in Christ.

2. Teaching & The Word of God

Weekly teaching sessions bring knowledge of God's purpose and will for women — equipping every sister with truth to navigate the kingdom race.

3. Shared Stories & Sisterhood

Sisters share personal testimonies of victory and struggle, building authentic bonds of accountability, mutual prayer, and sincere encouragement.

4. Corporate Prayer & Intercession

Corporate prayers, monthly birthday celebrations, and intercessory meetings ensure every sister is covered and lifted before the throne of God.

5. Education & Certification

Certificate courses through the Ruth Sisters Institute — in partnership with CICA International University — equip women for ministry and kingdom influence.

6. Return to Royalty

The 3-Rs Retreat — Ruth Return to Royalty — calls every sister back to her divine identity: restored, renewed, and rededicated to God's purpose for her life.

The Biblical Foundation

Ruth & Naomi — The First EMPTISTORY

Naomi's story is the original EMPTISTORY. She left Bethlehem full — with her husband and two sons — and returned empty, bereft of family and hope. Yet in that emptiness, God orchestrated her restoration through an unlikely source: a Moabite daughter-in-law named Ruth, who refused to abandon her. Ruth's loyalty — "Where you go, I will go" — became the instrument of Naomi's fullness.

This is the story our fellowship lives. Every sister who joins Ruth Sisters brings her own emptiness, and every sister who stays becomes a Ruth to someone else's Naomi. Together, through teaching, prayer, and shared stories, we walk one another from empty to full — from Mara back to Naomi.

The Weekly EMPTISTORY Programme

Every Sunday, sisters gather virtually from across the globe for a structured programme of worship, teaching, testimony, and prayer — 52 Sundays a year, together as one.

Opening Worship & Praise

Every session opens with corporate worship — sisters lifting their voices together across continents, entering God's presence as one united fellowship.

Biblical Teaching & Study

Anointed teaching drawn from Scripture, focused on equipping women with God's Word and practical wisdom for their spiritual journey and everyday life.

Testimony & EMPTISTORY Sharing

Sisters take turns sharing their personal EMPTISTORY — moments of spiritual emptiness and God's faithfulness — creating a living tapestry of testimony and hope.

Corporate Prayer & Intercession

Each session closes with targeted intercession — covering one another's needs, celebrating birthdays and milestones, and praying for women around the world.
